| Founded in 1993, the Northwest Chapter includes a very active and diversified group of people. Our diversity is bound by a common passion for horses, mules and the backcountry. The majority of our members live in the Corrales and North Valley area of Albuquerque. Others live in the NE Heights and Westside. Our membership stays relatively level at about fifty members but we have had as many as seventy-five members. The Northwest Chapter is an active BCHA group. We have member delegates involved with state and national activities as well as the New Mexico Horse Council. The Northwest Chapter has supported the New Mexico Forestry Youth Camp and is currently providing support to the San Ysidro 4-H group.
